VISION

The single-story layout was thoughtfully redesigned to better suit the clients’ lifestyle, emphasizing a seamless flow for tranquil, day-to-day living. Custom white oak millwork, paired with a curated mix of furnishings, transformed the space into a sophisticated yet inviting jewel box.

EXECUTION

The redefined layout focuses on enhancing flow, balance, and tranquility throughout. Matter emphasized architectural lighting while using subtle shadows, a restrained finish palette, and intentional furniture selections to create a sophisticated yet inviting retreat that feels highly personal and deeply considered.

DETAIL

Lighting became a defining feature of the home, with pinhole fixtures recessed into white oak ceilings to create soft, intentional glows. Venetian plaster walls, sculptural decorative lighting, and custom path lighting further enhance the space, marrying form and function in every corner of the home.

Indoors and out, every detail reflects the clients’ lifestyle. Nestled on one of Aspen’s most coveted and private lots, the 3,000-square-foot ranch-style home is surrounded by a yard that’s nearly triple its size, creating a sanctuary of calm in the heart of the West End neighborhood. Sliding glass doors open to an expansive patio designed for entertaining, with lounge seating, fire pits, and alfresco dining. The cedar-clad exterior complements the muted interior palette, ensuring harmony between the home’s architecture and its natural surroundings.
